by Jeff Iilif: A level-3 stream survey was preformed starting at 10 am on July 14 by the Warm Springs Watershed Association for Warm Springs Run just behind the Board of Education building.
We were joined by the young participants of the 'One Watershed' project; Bobby Sawyer, Zachary Salman, Logan Maravelis, Cristopher Hughes, Katie Abrell, McKenna Marvelis, and Maggie Hughes. The students were joined by Jack Kelly, Director of the Digital Media Center for Morgan Arts Council, David Lillard of WV Rivers Coalition, Rachel D'Agostino president of the Friends of the Cacapon River, and Glenn Nelson, head of WVDEP's Save Our Streams program.
The students interviewed Warm springs board Members Jeff Iliff and Norman Dean about stream monitoring details and observed the performance of chemical analysis and benthic macroinvertebrate sampling for their documentary/newscast.
Conditions were: 90 deg., sunny, no rain in the last 48 hrs.
